Snap it.

Take a photo of your kid's drawing — flat, decent light. Messy is perfect. Crayon is a style, not a flaw.

Let them describe it.

Your kid tells you who the character is — name, powers, personality. You type it. This is the secret ingredient: the AI treats your kid's ideas as canon.

Copy the prompt, paste it with the photo.

Open Google Gemini (a free account works — parent drives, 18+), attach the photo, and paste this. Change only the orange parts:

Post the video with #CharactersForDelaney and tag @famai_ai. In Little Light, the world's lights have gone dim — and Delaney's character relights them one by one. Every character families share becomes one of the lights she reaches.

To put your character IN the film, a parent sends the video to brady@famai.ai with this one line:

"I'm the parent. This is our own kid's drawing, with no real faces or full names. You may include this character in Little Light and share it on FamAI's channels."

We'll weave in as many characters as we can. The movie happens no matter what — it's a gift for Delaney's family either way.

How we keep this safe

  • Nothing uploads to us. There is no upload box on this site. Your photo goes to the AI tool you choose, under your account. You're the parent — you press the buttons.
  • Don't include your child's face or real full name in the drawing or description.
  • Costs: free tiers exist; video generation can use credits. Iterate cheap, finish rich.
  • Every character in the film is included only with a parent's written OK — including Delaney's, whose family approved every part of this.
