FamAI ("we," "us") is operated by FamAI LLC. This policy explains what information we collect on famai.ai and the FamAI app, how we use it, and your choices. Questions: brady@famai.ai.
1. Information we collect
You provide it: - Account info: email address, name, password (stored securely via our authentication provider) - Family profile details you choose to enter: household size, dietary preferences, meal plans, tasks, and similar content - Messages you send via our contact form or email
Collected automatically: - Usage and device data via cookies and analytics tools (pages visited, browser type, approximate location, referral source)
2. Children's privacy
FamAI is designed for parents and guardians. Accounts may only be created by adults (18+). Parents may enter information about their family, including children, to personalize features; that information is controlled by the parent's account and is never sold or used for advertising. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact brady@famai.ai and we will delete it.
3. How we use information
- Provide and improve FamAI features (e.g., generating meal plans)
- Respond to messages and support requests
- Send service emails (account confirmations, important updates); marketing emails only with consent, always with an unsubscribe link
- Understand site usage via analytics to improve the product
We do not sell your personal information.
4. AI features
Some features send the content you enter (e.g., dietary preferences) to third-party AI providers to generate results. We send only what's needed for the feature to work and do not permit those providers to use your data to train their models where the provider offers that control.
5. Service providers we share data with
- Supabase — database and authentication
- Netlify — website hosting
- Formspree — contact/waitlist form processing
- Google Analytics — site usage analytics
- AI model providers (accessed via secure server-side functions) — AI-generated features
Each receives only the data needed to do its job.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies (login sessions) and analytics cookies (Google Analytics). You can block cookies in your browser; essential features may not work without them. See our Cookie Notice for details.
7. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data anytime at brady@famai.ai — we'll complete it within 30 days.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our database (row-level security), and secrets management for API credentials. No system is 100% secure; we'll notify affected users of any breach as required by law.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g., California, EU), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. Email brady@famai.ai to exercise them.
10. Changes
We'll post updates here and change the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice.
